Description
The family-owned and managed Coral Reef Club is situated in 12 acres of tropical gardens on a long white sandy beach on the sheltered west coast of Barbados. The management and friendly, well-trained staff create a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The renowned gastronomic restaurant and elegant lounge have open air views of the sea. Accommodation
This lovely and spacious hotel contains just 88 rooms, cottages and suites which are set amidst the beautiful gardens spread across 12 acres of land. Air-conditioned rooms and cottages each consisting of a king size or twin bedded room, bathroom and patio or balcony. All rooms are individually decorated and have wall safes, CD player/clock radios, overhead fans, toasters, fridges and hair dryers. Bathrooms have combination shower and tub. Indicate preference for king size or twin beds when booking. Larger suites and two bedroom suites are available.Hotel Facilities
Complimentary facilities include two floodlit tennis courts, a gym and watersports including water-skiing. Championship golf is offered nearby at two 18-hole courses and arrangements can be made for deep sea fishing, scuba diving and horse riding.Wellbeing Facilities
Currently a small facility exists with a first class beautician and masseuse, Mathilde Scherr. Treatments include body massages, steam treatments, body masks. Nourishing and hydrating facials include coral algae mask, caviar collegen fibre mask, paraffin mask and Mathilde's signature facial. The treatments are very highly praised by guests who say that they are in many cases better than those they have had in some of the most extravagant spas in the world.
In 2008 the new Spa is being constructed in a completely different location of the property to create the perfect oasis for the new spa. This will be a retreat that will offer top quality service in a beautiful garden setting. The beauty of the gardens at Coral Reef is a very integral part of the experience of your stay and the hope is that the spa will be a tropical sanctuary. The architecture of the spa will be slightly different from the colonial style of the accommodations. An intentional departure from that style will result in an experience intended to be zen-like in a more sleek, understated and slightly modern look which will still blend right in with the Caribbean style of the property.
